Caesarstone launched a captivating collection with three dark, sultry shades to meet the growing trend for darker interiors. They continue to lead the market in innovative surfaces to bring a striking alternative to traditional worktops.

Today, shades of black and grey are reimagined as modern classics, serving as bold accents or creating a powerful overall aesthetic. Dark slate, stone, oxidised metal and black lacquered wood are just a few of the remarkable materials being combined in dramatic interiors and hospitality spaces, inspiring Caesarstone to introduce this new series as a departure from lighter surfaces and colour palettes.

The collection, several years in development, draws inspiration from the desert and the great outdoors, which Caesarstone’s in-house design team explored to influence the look and feel of the new products. Inspired by the organic materials they encountered during their travels, the team experimented with how different stones capture colours in nighttime settings.

From the timeless luxury of 5101 Empira Black to the evocative patinas of rusted 4735 Oxidian and weathered 5810 Black Tempal, the Art of Darkness showcases an intriguing range of captivating hues that infuse warmth into the home and evoke a tactile experience with the stone.

Caesarstone’s global head of design, Mor Krisher, explains the design process behind their new series of products inspired by dark interiors and kitchens. “We find inspiration everywhere, particularly in the outside world, such as desert landscapes where natural stones undergo cycles of scorching heat and freezing nights, resulting in beautiful patinas and textures.

Studying a diverse range of black and dark stones revealed their unique characteristics – some simple and minimalist, others intricate and vibrant. Each stone evoked different feelings within the design team; some felt warm and comforting, while others had patterns and textures that were epic in scale, reminiscent of the vast, rugged landscapes.

It was crucial to capture these details in these three new colours to bring elemental aspects of nature into people’s homes.

There is an organic quality to Caesarstone products, essential in dark colours as well as marble and granite surfaces. This connection to the natural world is what we aim for in our homes – a visual and tactile link to nature.”

5810 Black Tempal

Black Tempal joins the innovative Metropolitan Collection. This design features soft mineral deposits that create a delicate veil of warm whites against a sturdy black charcoal base. Its textured, complex, industrial composition offers a captivating interpretation of travertine, with a finish that enhances the colour’s depth through warm, granular highlights. Black Tempal’s organic essence complements humble materials like rough slate and raw concrete, creating a striking juxtaposition of colours and textures.

5101 Empira Black

Capturing the essence of dark stone mystery, Empira Black features a deep base of rich black adorned with fine, white natural veins. Inspired by the authentic beauty of natural forms, Empira Black adds a touch of marble sophistication to any space, elevating residential kitchens and bathrooms as well as fashionable hotels and hospitality venues. Its creative interpretation of natural stone infuses sophistication and timeless elegance into any interior.

Empira Black is the newest addition to Caesarstone’s Supernatural Collection, offering the luxurious look of marble with the enhanced technical properties of quartz.

4735 Oxidian

Oxidian has been introduced to the Metropolitan Collection that celebrates the industrial aesthetic of patina and tactile touch. With a dark grey base that offers true depth, Oxidian features a Natural Finish with a slightly textured grain that consumers can feel. Tarnished with an oxidised russet effect, distributed unevenly like real rust, Oxidian is a trend-savvy, aged surface that retains the practical durability and low maintenance synonymous with all Caesarstone products.

Finishes

Two of the designs – Black Tempal and Oxidian feature Caesarstone’s new Natural Finish, providing a subtly textured appearance that adds warmth and tactility to the surface. This finish also offers a satin sheen that gently reflects light, enhancing the colour and depth of the stone. In addition to its aesthetic and tactile benefits, Caesarstone’s Natural Finish helps reduce the visibility of marks and fingerprints, ensuring minimal care and maintenance, as with all Caesarstone products. Empira Black, on the other hand, is available in a sleek polished finish, further enhancing the sophistication of this worktop while maintaining practicality.
