In an exclusive interview with Sharpstone, we take you behind the scenes into the beautiful kitchen of a famous TOWIE star from the beginning, Frankie Essex. Find out why Frankie chose the quartz and how she found the Sharpstone experience.

Who or what was your inspiration behind the kitchen design? 

Frankie – My style is very clean and clinical, I wanted something to match, something timeless and glamorous. The Bianco Carrara hit all the right notes and I absolutely love it.

Why did you choose to visit Sharpstone?

Frankie – We really shopped around for our worktops with quartz and granite we were going to loads of different places and also looking for the best deal.

We went to Sharpstone and they gave us really good advice, they also said about having a special engraving on the island (profile edge *Ogee*) and going with different heights, no other place went in-depth and this caught our attention.

I am so happy we did go with them and they gave me a free heart chopping board. I love it.

What attracted you to these specific stones?

Frankie – It wasn’t really that hard to find, it’s like on a big industrial estate, we had a little drive around and went into the showroom. We then had a walk around and the one I really wanted at first, actually, I wouldn’t say I liked it, it was very yellow and not my theme at all. I wanted to go as plain as possible as my style is clean and clinical.

They showed me around and showed me the Bianco Carrara and it was one that I instantly loved. They said a few other people have it, so I looked at Sharpstone’s portfolio showing the stone in other homes.

The experience was amazing, everyone was so nice and you get to see the work being done all in one place. The whole “shebang”.

How did you find the experience of it being fitted?

Frankie – They came to measure it up first, they were so quick and precise, literally in and out. It’s really cool how they do it. They took a template and went back to the workshop where they made it and it was so quick. I was actually so shocked at how quickly they fitted it.

I had a kitchen! I literally didn’t have a kitchen for 5 months with newborn twins over Christmas, it was awful and now I love having a kitchen. I’m in it all the time, the babies love it, crawling around. The island and quartz come up lovely, and shines in the beautiful light and I just love it. It has made our home a home again.

Is there anything else you’d like to say about Sharpstone?

Frankie – I am so happy with Sharpstone, I highly recommend them. A 10/10 service, they really help you and if you have any questions they have the answers.
